This is very much a 'what if?' page. On it, you will find access to financial calculators for several of the more usual financial purposes and some of the less usual ones.
The former include calculators for mortgages, remortgages, for comparing the alternative costs for repayment and interest only mortgages, for savings plans school fees and University funding plans and for Life Assurance needs.
The latter includes calculators for a lifetime mortgage, two different kinds of the home reversion plan, an interest only mortgage mortgage, and a comparison showing the differences between the lifetime mortgage and both kinds of home reversion plan
They are there to help you evaluate the possible consequences of making a particular financial decision. However, they are only a tool - they are not infallible. The actual results of the decisions you make will be materially affected by events, such as inflation, interest rates and investment returns, which by their very nature are ephemeral and variable. They have yet to happen and cannot be forecasted with any degree of accuracy except, possibly, in the very short term.
The calculators are there to give you food for thought and to compare the possible effects of different choices. By all means use them, but please do not consider the results to be guaranteed - they are not.
